We are seeking exceptional post-doctoral research fellows/scientists to work in the field of precision medicine.
The Shah lab at Mayo Clinic focuses on the development of and treatment for an aggressive blood cancer known as TP53-mutated myeloid neoplasm. These leukemias are highly aggressive and have no effective therapies yet. The applicant will focus on development of novel therapeutics for TP53 mutated myeloid neoplasms using in vitro and in vivo approaches. Specifically, the applicant will be responsible for performing and analyzing cytotoxicity assays, synergy studies, perform ADME, and perform animal studies using cell-line and patient-derived xenograft models.
The successful candidate will have a PhD in molecular biology or related fields with 1-5 years of experience and a strong publication record. Candidates should be well versed in standard cellular and molecular biology techniques (cell culture, DNA, RNA, and protein studies, gene editing, and flow cytometry). Interest and prior experience with mouse work—including xenograft models highly desired.
QualificationsMust have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in a field deemed relevant by the program. Research Fellow is appropriate for individuals who have completed no more than one prior postdoctoral fellowship, at Mayo Clinic or elsewhere.
